What is Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next, and how is it different from the SFMC we already use?

MCN is Salesforce's AI-native marketing platform, built directly on Data Cloud—not layered onto it. It runs on unified, real-time customer profiles instead of static audience exports. Agentforce is built in, so AI-driven decisioning, journey adaptation, and autonomous lead engagement are core to how the platform operates. This is a new architecture.

Do we need to be on Data Cloud before moving to Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next?

Yes. Data Cloud is the foundation MCN runs on—it's not optional. If you're not on Data Cloud yet, the transition starts there. We scope and build that layer as part of the implementation.

We're already on SFMC. How disruptive is the transition?

With proper planning, less disruptive than most teams expect. Campaigns and journeys are migrated—not flipped—so it requires careful mapping and a phased rollout. The risk isn't the technology—it's executing without a structured plan. That's what our assessment phase is designed to avoid.

What's the difference between Marketing Cloud Growth and Marketing Cloud Advanced?

Growth is built for small to mid-market teams—core campaign tools, segmentation, and AI on a Data Cloud foundation. Advanced is designed for enterprise scale—everything in Growth plus deeper Agentforce capabilities, advanced decisioning, and more complex integration support. Will our existing journeys and assets carry over?

Not automatically. They need to be rebuilt on the new platform. Most long-running SFMC setups include years of workarounds—this is the opportunity to fix and modernize them on a platform that can execute them properly.

How long does a full implementation take?

Typically 12–14 weeks, from assessment to go-live. Timing depends on your data architecture, number of journeys, and integration complexity. We provide a precise estimate after the assessment.

Do we need Agentforce to use Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next?

No—but it's where most of the value comes from. Without a plan to activate Agentforce, you're leaving significant capability on the table. We recommend a phased approach to build toward full adoption.
