Marketo migration services that eliminate data chaos and rebuild for revenue

When treated as a data transfer, migration leads to corrupted data, broken scoring, and months of rebuilds. At Mavlers, we approach Marketo migration as a revenue architecture project - clean, structured, and built to perform from day one.

Where Marketo migrations go wrong

Corrupted lead history in transit

Activity logs, scoring history, and lifecycle stage transitions are lost, overwritten, or mis-mapped, leaving records intact but stripped of context.

Email templates rebuilt manually

200–800 templates get migrated one by one without a bulk process—leading to broken links, inconsistent design, and timelines that quickly double.

CRM sync rebuilt incorrectly

The new sync is configured without auditing the original logic; as a result, bad field mapping, flawed lifecycle rules, and inherited errors persist.

Scoring model copied, not rebuilt

Legacy scoring logic is carried over without validation, importing outdated criteria and misaligned thresholds that no longer reflect sales or buyer behavior.

Programs and assets migrated without governance

Inactive programs, duplicate segmentations, and obsolete lists move across unchecked.

No attribution continuity

Breaks in historical program data disrupt multi-touch attribution, leading to pipeline reporting gaps not just during migration, but long after.

How Mavlers’ Marketo migration services turn it around

Strategy & asset governance first

We audit the entire source instance—programs, templates, scoring, lists, and CRM sync—then classify every asset as migrate, archive, or decommission. Scope is defined around what the destination actually needs, reducing complexity before go-live.

Bulk email template migration (no manual rebuilds)

50–1000 templates are migrated via bulk conversion into Marketo-native HTML, standardized into a unified architecture, and cleaned of duplicates, so you launch with a consistent, scalable library.

Lifecycle model & scoring rebuilt

Stage definitions, scoring logic, and thresholds are redesigned with sales and marketing to reflect current buyer behavior. Dead criteria are removed, and the model is calibrated post–go-live against real pipeline data.

CRM sync rebuilt with intent

Field mappings, conflict rules, and activity filters are audited and redefined, ensuring clean data flow and accurate trigger behavior from day one.

Attribution continuity preserved

Historical program membership and attribution data are migrated with integrity, maintaining your revenue cycle baseline and protecting pipeline reporting.

Fully documented, validation-led migration

Every asset, rule, and dependency is documented, validated, and signed off before and after migration.

Worried about losing lead history or breaking live campaigns mid-migration?

We validate every asset, sync dependency, and attribution baseline before a single record moves, so nothing gets left behind.

From enterprise complexity to clean go-live — some outcomes from our Marketo migration services

Enterprise Technology: Eloqua to Marketo Migration

Industry

Enterprise Technology · B2B · 600+ accounts · Field marketing and demand generation

Challenge

Rising Eloqua costs drove a move. Complex setup: 340 templates, 180 programs, and a deep Salesforce sync (14 objects, 200+ fields). Full Circle attribution had to persist. A prior attempt failed; abandoned after 4 months with broken scoring.

Solution

2-week audit set scope: migrate 180 templates, archive 160, retire 120 programs. Active templates rebuilt in Marketo-native HTML in 3 weeks. Lifecycle and scoring aligned with sales pre-migration. CRM sync rebuilt from a field map, full program history migrated, attribution validated pre–go-live.

Outcome

  • 14 weeks, zero data loss or disruption.
  • No attribution gap in the transition quarter.
  • 88% MQL-to-SAL in 60 days, above Eloqua baseline.
  • Source decommissioned post validation.
Case study 01: 14 weeks migration, zero data loss, 88% MQL-to-SAL vs Eloqua baseline, source decommissioned.

B2B SaaS Scale-Up: Marketo to HubSpot Migration

Industry

B2B SaaS · Mid-market · 200 employees · CRM consolidation driving MAP change

Challenge

Board-led shift to HubSpot post-CRM acquisition. Marketo setup: 120 programs, 80 templates, complex scoring, and Marketo Measure attribution to replicate. Team had no HubSpot experience. 8-week deadline tied to contract renewal.

Solution

Mavlers scoped to the deadline, compressing the parallel run to 3 weeks. 40 high-traffic programs prioritized; 80 archived. Smart Campaigns converted to HubSpot workflows in 4 weeks. Scoring rebuilt with a clear MQL threshold. Attribution moved to HubSpot, backed by custom Salesforce reports.

Outcome

  • Delivered in 7 weeks.
  • Zero campaign disruption at cutover.
  • Day-one scoring; team self-sufficient in 2 weeks.
  • 3-week attribution gap pre-defined and aligned with CFO.
Case study 02: 7-week delivery, zero campaign disruption, day-one scoring, 3-week attribution gap timeline.

Marketo migration services that are built around your pipeline

Revenue architecture, not lift-and-shift

Every migration is scoped around the destination's ability to drive revenue: lifecycle, scoring, CRM sync, and attribution are rebuilt and validated.

Scale without compromise

Bulk template migration (50–1,000+ assets), scoring rebuilt, not ported, and full asset governance eliminate manual rebuilds, legacy clutter, and broken logic.

Zero-loss, validation-led execution

Parallel-run validation, attribution continuity, and proven cross-platform delivery ensure clean cutover with no data loss and no reporting gaps.

Cross-platform expertise, both directions

Migrations delivered across Eloqua, HubSpot, Pardot, and SFMC — in and out of Marketo — with the same structured methodology, documented outcomes, and post-migration calibration every time.

Don't inherit yesterday's broken logic in a new platform. Get it right from day one

Frequently asked questions

How long does a Marketo migration take?

Timeline depends on scope and direction. A clean mid-market migration with fewer than 200 templates typically takes 8–12 weeks. An enterprise migration with a large template library and complex CRM sync usually takes 12–18 weeks. A source instance audit in the first two weeks defines the timeline in detail.

Do you handle migrations out of Marketo as well as into it?

Yes. We support both directions—Eloqua, HubSpot, Pardot, and SFMC into Marketo, and Marketo into those platforms. The methodology stays the same: source audit, destination architecture, asset governance, bulk template migration, data migration, and go-live validation.

Our Marketo instance is already set up. Do we need a full migration?

Not always. If issues are limited to sync architecture, scoring logic, or attribution setup, they can often be fixed without a full migration. If a migration is needed, we define scope clearly and get sign-off before starting.

We have years of lead history. Will it carry over?

Yes. Lead history, activity logs, scoring data, and program membership are treated as migration-critical. Data is migrated with integrity, and attribution continuity and reporting are validated before decommissioning the source instance.

Do we need to rebuild our scoring model?

We audit the existing model rather than automatically port it. Relevant criteria are rebuilt to match current buyer behavior and sales qualification thresholds. Outdated logic is removed, so the new model is accurate and fully documented.

Can you migrate email templates without a full migration?

Yes. Bulk template migration is available as a standalone service. Templates are audited, converted, standardized, and QA'd—whether or not a full instance migration follows.

Our last migration created problems. Can you fix it?

Yes. Post-migration rescue is a defined service. We audit sync, scoring, attribution, and data integrity, then rebuild what is broken. Most rescue engagements take 4–8 weeks, depending on scope.

How do you protect attribution during migration?

Historical program data and Revenue Cycle Modeler configuration are included in the migration scope. Before cutover, we validate attribution in the new instance against historical CRM opportunity data to ensure reporting continuity.

What happens to scoring during migration?

During the parallel-run phase, the source instance continues running as usual. The new instance is built and tested in parallel. Cutover happens only after validation is complete, ensuring scoring works correctly from day one.
